Geissel-Whips - leatherwhips

I've been whipmaking with leather for a long time now. For me, the only option for the braided parts of a whip is kangaroo leather. You can certainly make good whips out of cowhide. But cowhide cannot be braided as finely as kangaroo because it does not have the same tensile strength. This means that cowhide whips are usually coarser. Also, in my experience, nothing beats kangaroo leather when it comes to rolling the whip. However, kangaroo leather whips take significantly longer to be incorporated than nylon whips.

Note! At the moment I only accept a limited number of custom orders as it cannot always be guaranteed that there will always be enough leather in stock. Otherwise, I regularly make leather whips that are available for immediate purchase in the shop.

Classic Roo Bullwhip

The Classic series has two braided kangaroo leather bellies and at least one bolster which varies depending on the whip length. For shorter whips (4-6ft) soft chrome split leather is used. For longer whips, use somewhat stiffer leather such as vegetable-tanned cowhide or kangaroo leather. The whip ends with a 6-8 point fall hitch and a redhide fall.

Woody Roo

The Woody Bullwhip has a similar structure to the Classics (bellies, binding, bolsters, etc.). However, the handles are made of wood, which I turn by hand and also make with inlays and combined types of wood.
Due to the huge selection of woods, the possibilities are almost limitless.

SigFlex

This series is a mix of Snake/Signal and Bullwhip. Unlike others, the short handle here is not made of steel or another rigid material but of a short, thin fiberglass rod. This keeps the whip, which is rather shorter, relatively light and ensures significantly more agile and easier handling. The whole thing is rounded off by a Dyneema loop at the end of the whip, which makes changing the case or converting to a signal whip very quick and easy. Built with multiple bolsters and a bellie, supported by a 16 plait overlay. My absolute favorite when it comes to short whips.
